MOCAtv + Rafael Rozendaal Art x You
In collaboration with MOCAtv we launched the Art X You Series, where subscribers collaborate with renowned artists. The first installment of the series featured internet artist, Rafaël Rozendaal. The user comments section was turned into a social media challenge asking viewers to create an original URL idea. Rafaël selected the most inspiring submission and turned it into his next art piece.
COLD VOID + KK Gallery Multimedia Exhibit
In tandem with the MOCAtv ART X YOU Series, we hosted a unique, multimedia exhibit at KK Gallery. Multimedia artist Rafaël Rozendaal and Dutch electronic musician Luuk Bouwman debuted their collaborative project COLD VOID in an unconventional, “non-performative” way.
In the center of the show was a self-playing vintage pianola, restored and revamped by Ken Caulkins to have MIDI-input capabilities.
KK Gallery and Cassette Recordings released a limited edition signed vinyl record with a lenticular print cover for the exhibition. The debut album features 11 studio tracks.
Cold Void is an electronic music group featuring internet artist Rafael Rozendaal and electronic musician Luuk Bouwman. Influenced by soundtracks, crude metal intros and children’s music, they create dark and melodic songs. Each song is accompanied by an abstract animation and is published on Youtube.
